Bain-Honaker Historical Home

Description

Built in 1865 in Farmersville, Texas by Anna Melissa Hicks Bain, a widow with five daughters, this home provided room and board for teachers and students from nearby schools. Five generations of the family lived in the house until it was donated to the Farmersville Historical Society. Today, the Historical Society offers tours and uses the property to teach young people about life during earlier times.
