Description
The Agave America, also known as the Century plant, is native to Mexico and the United State, specifically Texas. Used by the Aztecs centuries ago, the fibers of the plant were used to make paper. Today the plant is used as natural sweetener and is also used for making tequila. The plant fibers still have many uses. The sap of the agave leaf has an antiseptic quality and has long been used for medicinal purposes.
